Tri Lingual Course for Rehabilitees at PARC - Poonthotam

Affirming the Government policy on use of languages, the rehabilitees were imparted the knowledge on all three languages used in Sri Lanka. This will enable them to communicate effectively with different segments of the society. The BCGR has recognized the importance of the proficiency in all three languages as an essential requirement for rehabilitees and also to strengthen the cultural band among communities. Hence commenced courses on Sinhala, Tamil and English languages simultaneously on 27th October 2014 and will continue until 27th January 2015. 24 rehabilitees are following the course. The English and Tamil language courses are conducted by National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) and Sinhala language course conducted by the National Institute of Language Education and Training.This is the 30th such programme being conducted in a row at the centre.
