Bodhi Puja for the Speedy Recovery of Chathurika Perera

A Bodhi puja was held this morning, 16th September, at the Mayurapada Piriwena, Pelawatta, Battaramulla to invoke the blessings of the Triple Gem for the speedy recovery of Ms. Chathurika Perera who is presently being treated at the ICU of the Kalubowila Hospital. The Bodhi puja was held with the participation of Commissioner General of Rehabilitation, Major General Chandana Rajaguru RWP RSP USP and all staff members of the Bureau of the Commissioner General of Rehabilitation (BCGR).

Chathurika was the first female staff member to join the BCGR in the very early stages in 2008 of its inception. She is held in high esteem by her superiors and her colleagues as well as subordinate staff for her efficiency and industriousness. She has always been courteous and performed her duties quietly with a smile which endeared her to one and all. Her gentle presence has always been a refreshing breath of air in the office. She is ever willing to go beyond her call of duty to fulfill any task that needed to be done in an environment where challenges would often overwhelm the available limited human resources.

Her absence from work is sorely missed by all at the BCGR and they wish her a speedy recovery that will enable her to get back to their midst with her health restored to normalcy. May all who know her remember her in their prayers and wish her well.
